Let’s get into it
Let the work lead. Make the next step obvious.
A portfolio should show what makes your work yours—and make it easy for the right person to get in touch. Let’s build around both.

Photography / Portfolio migration & redesign
The photographs lead. The website does its job.
Chris’s portfolio spans action, outdoor and lifestyle photography. The job wasn’t to compete with those images. It was to give them a considered home, make the work easier to navigate and rebuild the technical foundation underneath it.

01 / The problem
A portfolio migration has two jobs: present the work well and preserve the useful paths that already exist. Chris needed to move from APhotoFolio to Squarespace while modernizing the experience, organizing the galleries and making inquiries straightforward. The image library, page hierarchy and search foundations all needed attention. Simply moving the pictures into a new template would have left too much of the real work undone.
02 / Our work
We planned the architecture and gallery organization before building the responsive Squarespace portfolio. The design kept Chris’s photography at the center, with considered gallery viewing and clear inquiry routes. We migrated the content and images, worked through page titles, descriptions, headings, alt text and captions, and connected the pages with useful internal links. Legacy redirects, canonical metadata, the sitemap and measurement setup were handled alongside the visible design. Post-launch checks covered forms, links and redirects.
03 / Delivered
The first phase delivered a Squarespace migration, a redesigned portfolio and an SEO foundation. Galleries, inquiry routes and technical checks came together in one platform, with the photographs still leading the experience. Photography is by Chris Wellhausen; SCS’s role was strategy, design, migration and implementation.
